This striking Lwalwa  mask underlines the finesse of this engaging style.  At once angular and 'plump', the mask presents a terrific accumulation of lines.  Of hardwood and Ca. mid 20th Cent. the mask is of a less common style it's larger, more diamond shaped cousins.   Demonstrating nice signs of use, albeit light, the mask has both encrusted and well rubbed high spots as seen.
