This type  Mutinu Bamba figure is referenced as Type 7 in "Les Arts Bateke, by Raoul Lehuard".  Used in medicinal rites, the figure has been charged with a pack of encrusted magic substance around the body.  With classic pointed toes, a hat like tri part coiffure and superb patina, the figure is Ca. early 20th Cent.
