Ibeji

This is a fine old Ibeji of Igbomina Style. 

A genial looking female, the figure has a high coiffure and is adorned by various beaded belts, necklaces and a bracelet.

Of particular interest here is the total sense of usage and age one gets from examining the reddened figure.  It is obvious that cam wood powder was regularly used on the figure in ritual.
