A very fine hardwood food hook with inlaide shells, an enlarged head and arms held out to the side. A bird head form projects from the base.
Although not historic in age the enclosed is a superb transitional piece.
Note some areas of loss and, no matter how well packed it is, there will be a bit more shell loss in transport..
