This is a superb old Ndebele skirt made of goat skin and intricately beaded with intricate designs.  

Obviously a skirt made for noblity the work features a large household with delicate decorative panels.  Not the more commonly seen duo / trio of box like cottages.  

Furthering this notion are the  hand hammered copper lining the fringe and the wearing straps that are, remarkably, still extant.  

As can be seen the goat hide is ancient and incredibly supple on this old example.
